The Vicar of Dibley: The Greatest Nativity Ever Told (almost)
Tues 1 Dec, 2026 – Sat 5 Dec, 2026
Barnfield Theatre, Barnfield Road, Exeter, EX1 1SN

Exeter Little Theatre Company are delighted to bring you the further escapades of those iconic, well-known characters of Dibley by presenting this hilarious and well-loved comedy adapted from the original TV series written by Richard Curtis and Paul Mayhew-Archer.
We continue the story with the delayed return of Alice and Hugo from their honeymoon complete with a little surprise. Mix this with the chaotic setting up of Radio Dibley and a quirky village quiz; unsurprisingly, this results in hilarious antics and surprising confessions. As Christmas approaches, The Reverand Geraldine Granger (much-loved and chocolate addicted vicar) wants to stage a unique Christmas play, and of course, chaos reigns as she auditions, rehearses and finally performs the show, resulting in the most hilarious Nativity.
With these larger-than-life characters and a laugh in every line, this show promises to be a gloriously entertaining night out to get you in the festive mood.
