ELTC and Exeter Northcott – one night only musical theatre concert
We’re very excited to share a new project that we’ve been working on behind the scenes: a one-night-only musical theatre concert, jointly presented by ELTC and Exeter Northcott on the 30th January, 2027.
This will be a special evening celebrating some of the brilliant musicals that both organisations have brought to the stage, with a mixture of solos, duets, group numbers and ensemble numbers.
Who can take part?
The great thing about this concert is that anyone can be involved, provided you are a paid-up ELTC adult member by the launch and audition night.
If you would like the opportunity to perform a solo, duet or small group numbers, these will be allocated through auditions.
Our launch and audition day will be Sunday 25 October at 10:30am. This will be an opportunity to hear plans about the concert for anyone interested in participating.
Following this, we will host auditions for any solo, duet or smaller group numbers – details on auditions can be found below.
Featured numbers
The current programme is planned to include:
- Chitty Chitty Bang Bang • Doll on a Music Box / Truly Scrumptious duet – as this is our most recent production we will not be auditioning this number.
- The Addams Family • Crazier Than You (duet)
- Little Shop of Horrors • Song TBC – As this is an ELTC/Northcott production connection, this number will not require an audition.
- Calendar Girls • TBC – Put forward a song
- Made in Dagenham • TBC – Put forward a song
- Avenue Q • TBC – Put forward a song
- Oliver! • TBC – Put forward a song (we suggest not a child’s song)
- Annie • TBC – Put forward a song (we suggest not a child’s song)
- Singin’ in the Rain • Singin’ in the Rain
Ensemble numbers
There will also be several chorus numbers that any ELTC member can get involved in, including:

- Nativity! The Musical • TBC
- Elf • Sparklejollytwinklejingley
- 9 to 5 • 9 to 5
There will also be an opening number and closing number performed jointly by ELTC and Northcott, which are currently TBC.
Rehearsals
We are currently expecting rehearsals to mainly take place on Sundays or Thursdays, with the aim of making these accessible to as many people as possible.
There may also be some additional rehearsals for those involved in solos and duets, particularly where smaller groups need some extra time to work on their numbers.
We’ll provide more details on rehearsal once we know who is taking part and the final programme has been confirmed.
Interested in taking part?
Please complete the form below to confirm your interest in participating. Please select all the numbers you’d be interested in performing in the concert in the form. However, for auditions, it’s best to prepare your top two songs. This doesn’t mean you won’t be asked to sing an alternative in the concert but it helps manage time during auditions. Those only interested in chorus numbers will still need to complete the form but will not need to audition.
You will also need to source your own backing track and bring it with you on the night. We do not expect you to be off book but will expect to see buckets of any character you are bringing.
